Saashala crouches behind the blind, alternating between peering out, and keeping a wary eye on the human. He has nothing to gain from spoiling the ambush besides a quick death...but she wasn't completely confident in his lack of loyalty to his own kind, even if he'd intended to attack them first.

There's a bit of a boring wait, while thoughts of traitorous humans fester... Jeffrey, for his part, takes a position that ensures he won't have to interact with anyone except Saashala. Around 10 AM, though, you hear a rumbling and see a cloud of snow coming toward you from down the road.

As the caravan approaches, it resolves into a large wagon pulled by 4 horses. The contents of the wagon are covered by tarps, but there's quite a mound under there. The bench in the front has the gnomish driver and a elvish-looking guard, and there are two additional human guards walking on either side of the wagon near the rear. The guards look to have chain shirts peeking out from under their heavy coats, and each has a crossbow in hand and a melee weapon available. The horses are kicking up quite a cloud of snow, but as they get closer it's not really enough to impair visibility.

The last member of the complement is B6, one of the bandits who fled the encounter earlier. He shuffles down the road beside the horses, shivering in the cold, and occasionally speaking dully to the driver. He is unarmed.

The whole operation is moving at walking pace.

Let me know how close you want to let them get before you act.

[sblock="Saashala"]Jeffrey starts cursing when he sees B6. He tries to keep the volume down, but you hear something about 'stinking traitor' and the like.[/sblock]

OOC: The nubs at A12 and A22 are the tips of the mound.

Nert watches the approaching caravan with growing excitement. Too cowardly to initiate a fight he readies his bow and waits for a Big to make a decision.

Ripnek remains motionless as he watches the caravan approach. His eyes scan for his first victim, finally focusing on the elven guard. The bugbear concentrates, waiting until the caravan is close enough.

OOC: Ripnek will attack as soon as he can get to the elf and attack in the same round.

Moon Moon continues to hide, expecting to be more of a support role with this encounter. He eyes the gnome. "Keebler. Cursed Keebler!" he mutters to himself.

OOC: Ripnek has two options. When the front of the wagon reaches P8/Q8, he can charge and attack, but he'll need an Acrobatics roll to get into position to attack the elf (who's on the far side, past the harnesses and reins and stuff connecting the horses to the wagon).

Or, he can wait until the front of the wagon is at P10/Q10, and just run in front of the horses and around to the far side of the wagon to attack the elf directly.

Karok, Drutha, and Saashala?

In that case he'll wait until he can move around the horses. P10/Q10 it is.
