D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

[Uller]

As Surana gets in view of the camp she sees a badly wounded Topsy (who appears 'blurry' for some reason...like it is hard to look at her) squared off against a kuo-toa armed with a spear. Eldeth (who appears a bit battered) is pulling her battle axe out the chest of another one that is lying motionless on the ground. A third kuo-toa is standing nearby with it's spear raised and about to strike the form of Sarith who is lying motionless on the on the ground. There are several other kuo-toa nearby but they appear to still be shocked by the appearance of demogorgon or are otherwise staying out of the fight. Bertram is nowhere to be seen.

 

[DMAesh]

OOC: On my turn, Ezraen draws his rapier and does the Achilles-jumping stab on whichever one Surana does not attack. [roll0] [roll1]

 

[Uller]

It's not Ez's turn quite yet. Surana is 20' away. She can attack with her bow or dash to get up to a kuo-toa.

Edit: Ez will have to make the same choice. Either dash to close the distance or make a ranged attack.

 

[SunGold]

Surana pushes herself to a frenzied pace as she sees their bloodied companions, drawing her blades as she charges toward the kuo-toa over Sarith. As she closes in, she locks her furious eyes on his and lets out a scream of rage.

OOC: Dashing for the one over Sarith.

 

[Uller]

Surana closes in. Does Ezraen want to take a shot or close the distance as well? (basically he can do his leaping attack...but the kuo-toa gets to bring the spear up to attack too).

OOC: Wait what? If we can both dash and melee attack this round I'll gladly take a spear attack to do so.

 

[Uller]

OOC: Sorry. That's not what I meant. If you dash, then (on it's turn) the kuo-toa can attack, then you can' attack (on your _next_ turn).

 

[SunGold]

OOC: Ah I see, you were just explaining how Ez's attack would fit into the mechanics. My misunderstanding.

 

[DMAesh]

OOC: Sorry, I posted earlier because I knew I would be gone at my normal face-to-face game. Ez will dash, and do the jumping attack on my next turn, but hopefully I can draw the attack meant for Topsy.

 

[JustinCase]

When Erevan has a clear view of the fight, he will attempt to hit Topsy's attacker with a wellplaced arrow between its fisheyes.
