Eldeth grabs her hand axe and starts hacking at the creature's tentacles.

Her axe blade sinks into the slimy stalks. Sarith calls his purple flames to try to illuminate the creature

It lights up in purple and green. Now that you see it, you aren't sure you actually WANT to see it. It looks like a floating brain with a beak and 15' long spiky tentacles.

 

[Uller]

Bertram pulls out his crossbow and fires...

Bert's bolt slams into part of its soft bulbous body with a splat and the creature shudders.

 

[Uller]

Topsy just takes cover in the third boat.

The creature turns from Surana and grabs at Eldeth!

The dwarf cries out as the tentacles wrap around her and lights her up towards its snapping beak. (Eldeth is grappled and restrained)

The creature starts to hover back towards the ceiling dragging the struggling Eldeth with it! It gets just a few feet away.
