D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (Infiltrators)

Auraia shrugged, "I'm tired of sitting here."

She walked in front of the statue, readying an action to teleport 10 feet back if it fires darts at her.

Auraia walked between the covered glow-orbs safely. She entered a large treasure-chamber: ancient artifacts lined the walls of , from gilded mirrors to beautiful statues to paintings of kings long forgotten. A bench lay in before her with a row of golden urns. Fine carpets were spread before shelves piled high with gold and silver chalices, platters, and other finery. To the south, a passageway led to a chamber not lit by glow-orbs and shrouded in darkness.

"Well done, uh, everyone!" Said Udit.

He entered the room. Although his instincts was to take everything, his greater instinct was this was just another cruel joke from life - there would be traps, fake good etc. He narrowed his eyes and started looking around - and listening ahead where that darkness was

Perception check in treasure room - passive is 17 : 1D20+7 = [1]+7 = 8

... but all that gold was so distracting!

OOC: Thank god for passive :O

Torbin sighs in relief as Auraria isn't pincushioned to death. He had meant to test his remedy in another way, but she was too quick for him. He smiled a bit nervously at Drako's comment before restringing an arrow and moving once again to follow the others. "Sometimes the best solution is the simplest."

"Grand," Zander says with a grim face. "Let's just ask the dragon nicely for the staff and not to have us for dinner."

He looks at Torbin, trying to be as serious as possible, but can't help from laughing.

Surprised that Auraia was not hit by multiple darts, Sesto lowered his mace. Wow! I thought I had to knock the head off this statue... You're a brave woman, Auraia... a brave woman. Or just very stupid, Sesto thought to himself.
Sesto followed the group into the room and his eyes scanned the shelves for the last Bhaalite Idol. Finding nothing, Sesto looked towards the dark passageway and tried to see what lay beyond the darkness. Too dark.
Sesto grabbed a small trinket from the treasure shelves and mumbled a few word. The trinket lit up brightly and he said Stand back. Something might happen, as he tossed it into the passageway.

OOC: Sesto cast Light on the trinket and hopes the group is out of harms way if another trap is triggered. What can he see, I wonder, or is it magical darkness?

One of the golden urns on the bench began to shake and its top flew off, clattering across the floor. A ghostly apparition rose from the ashes within. It turned to Sesto and said (in archaic elvish), "I, Captain Tamanier am command'd to protect these vaults from thieves. Return the trinket to the place from whence thou took it or face mine terrible wrath."
