[section]Cass eyes the gem with suspicion, not wanting to touch it. "You take the jewel, Niles. It makes me nervous."[/section]
[sblock=OOC]If no one takes the gem, Cass will grab it (but he'll wait to do so last); he doesn't exactly want to touch it, but neither does he want to leave it behind. Cass follows after the others to the south door. He'll walk last in line.[/sblock]

"It doesn't make me feel much better, but I could use something that might be resistant to my abilities."

Armides Diat, human Inquisitor of Asmodeus

[section]
Armides is annoyed that he overlooked all of these traps and secret doors and hidden passages but masks it fairly well. He was, after all, understudy to the lead of 'Ortano the Lede' and used to schooling his emotions and features.

"Fire and Ice," he mutters as he moves toward the door that Silhouette holds open.

[section]Cass unsheathes his longsword, then follows after the others. The hair on the back of his neck prickles as the group passes through the southern door.[/section]

Beyond the door is a short passage to the south. The short passage ends in a wooden door with another inscription: “Following the herd is for fools. Fear not their icy derision. Instead, fear only thy Infernal Lord.”

[section]Cass read the inscription on the wooden door and shivered. That's me. A sheep. Following these goats, and last in line at that. He felt a nervous tick start at the corner of his right eye; the outer edge of his eyelid twitched involuntarily. Cass reached up to rub at his eye, and muttered, "We should search for traps. Dear Silhouette?" [/section]

[sblock=OOC]Is there anything of note or anything unusual/amiss in either the hallway or the wooden door?[/sblock]

"Don't look at me," Silhouette demurred. "I've made no study of nasty little devices. Armides, you've got something of an eye for things like that yes?"
