Niles heads down the hallway far enough to make out what is written upon the door. "Cruelty is a tool not a pastime. Be ruthless to thy enemy but reward those who serve thee well."

Niles opens he door with a cringe on his face, not sure if there is a trap or not. "I think I understand the words. We were not to be cruel for enjoyment, but to bring about a result. for those who help us, we should reward them."

Armides Diat, human Inquisitor of Asmodeus

Armides follows along, smirking.

"Splendid, Niles, splendid. Remind me to give you a biscuit when we return upstairs, you've earned it. Now what's behind that door... and dare we open it before it has been examined?"

Armides' brow quirks and he glances back towards Cass. With Cass lagging a little behind Armides takes a look at the door himself. [roll0]

Silhouette pads up behind the others, glancing nervously back at the grated floor behind them. She reads the sign and nods silently to herself, but otherwise doesn't take part in the conversation so far.

OOC: Just to clarify, it looks like everyone is in the process of going through the door in the chamber, so Cass will follow. He'll go through last. And he'll double move or--if need be--run through the chamber to get to the door.

Through the door is yet another 30' x 30' chamber. There is an empty torturer’s rack at its center. The chamber is lit by an oil lantern that hangs over the rack.

[section]Cass darted across the room where the mist had been, and--taking a risk--sidled into the new room. He His dark eyes flicked to the torturer's table, then danced around the perimeter of the room, searching for signs of traps.[/section]
[sblock=OOC]Cass will wait for the others to enter the new room. Even if no one else goes in, he will (the mist room sucked and he wants to be clear of it). He'll enter five or ten feet to the left of the doorway, and will keep his back to the wall.[/sblock]
