Am I missing some subtlety of language and 3e rules, or do these statements conflict about the effect of fire on an Ice Troll?

Cold Subtype: Cold immunity; double damage from fire except on a successful save.
Limited Regeneration (Su): Fire and acid deal normal damage to an ice troll.

I believe it just means that Ice trolls can't regenerate fire and acid damage. All other damage is treated as subdual I think.

Thanks. So it was a language problem. "Normal damage" has too many contexts.
