Epic tools are found in the sky?
It's worth noting that there is a third-party supplement that adds epic gaming to Pathfinder: Legendary Levels, by Little Red Goblin Games.
If I may draw from the "what classes should be in 5E" thread, another possible solution to The Epic Problem is to put together a few highly generic but quite formidable epic-level prestige classes.
Epic Priest
Epic Arcanist
Epic Warrior
Epic Scoundrel
...to correspond to the 'big four', and others may be generated as needed, one class for every character role. These classes would provide the necessary extensions of BAB, save bonuses, character feats, and other basic benefits of level advancement, plus grant a few generic class features of super-awesome powers that supports the character's primary role in the adventuring party. These would supplement (not supplant) the ordinary specialized-concept prestige classes and whatever multiclassing system might be in place.
