if you could run or play in ANY campaign RIGHT now...

- Midnight. I'm actually going to get a chance to do this. I'll be playing a Bbn/Defender grappler in Jan in a campaign run by NTZ.

Defenders are a terrific class, well made. Midnight is a very cool setting. Good luck! You'll need it. :)

- All Flesh Must Be Eaten. I've never played it but I love the whole zombie genre.

Played this game at Origins a few years back. It was a lot of fun. The DM/GM and his pals were kinda flabbergasted when we survived the whole adventure though. Hey, we were either ex-military or survivalist characters (he handed us pre-made characters)! We used tactics, what can i say. Stupid zombies. Messy too. ;)

RUN:
- just a standard PL10 Mutants & Masterminds campaign. Nothing like good old superheroes trying to stop the bad guys from taking over the world.

Just got finished running a brief M&M game for the new group. Its almost debatable as to who the bad guys were though, the PCs or the NPCs. ;)

Well, there's not a lot I haven't DM'd. I'd still like to do more Masque of the Red Death Victorian horror stuff, and I'd like to give Conan a whirl again someday.

For playing, well, I'd love to play Lone Wolf, Ravenloft/MotRD or Shadowrun/Cyberpunk.

I'd like to run or play anything, really... :)

But *right now* my mind is seeing a setting that mixes Pirates of Dark Water and Sinbad (the 2003 cartoon from Dreamworks). Not specifically arabian in theme, I'd like the PCs to sail from island to island, where they accidently dock on an abandoned island only to find out its a gigantic dragon turtle, etc. Class Defense Bonus and Action Points galore.

Oh, and Eberron would be nice too...

Really, anything without diapers...

:)

I want to run something truly epic, where the PCs actions result in a total transfomation of the world and its people for the better- something so radical that it signals the turn of the age. It's not been done well, or often, and I think it's got something to do with both the culture of the hobby and the rules of the game.

Run:

  • Getting back to Errant Prophecies: My homebrew based on musings I've had over the Arcane/Divine divide, heavily influenced by the Elric Saga, Howard's work, Lovecraft, Warhammer's chaos demons, Sepulchrave's story hour, Josh Dyal's storyhour, Barsoom's story hour and Stephen King's Dark Tower books.
  • A Vampire chronicle set in Detroit.
  • Exalted
  • CoC or a horror themed Grim Tales game.
  • An Elric game using M&M or the Hero system.
  • A 3.5 Valus game.
  • Black Company
  • A 'Bums in Space' Traveller-esque game using Grim Tales.
  • A homebrew using the rules in the Wheel of Time roleplaying game.
  • Shadowrun
Play:

  • In Sepulchrave's game.
  • In JDyal's game.
  • In Barsoom's game.
  • In Piratecat's game.
  • In any of the types of games I would like to run, espicially a well-done Elric game.
  • An Ebberon game.
  • Earthdawn
  • Traveller
  • Paranoia
  • Mage
  • Pretty much any sort of game with a Lovecraftian bent.

Play: D&D 3.5. I'm in a weekly game at the moment, and loving it. Homebrew setting. I'd be happy with any setting that's not Planescape, Dark Sun or Ravenloft.

Run: Right now I'm running a Silver Age Sentinels game in which the PCs are the world's first superheroes. After that (or possibly concurrently if I have the stamina) I want to run D&D 3.5 though I don't have that many ideas yet.

I guess my dream campaign would be a superhero setting I've been working on, set in the present but with a pseudo-history conforming to what was published at the time - Golden Age, Silver, etc. The PCs would often interact with legacies from the earlier periods and there'd be a kind of historical richness to the universe. I plan to run this after the D&D campaign, if possible.

Play or Run: Conan. Always wanted to, never have. Never had enough other players who were interested. Never ever had another DM who could do it right.

-The Gneech

I second that. I actually want to play Conan, but would probably get stuck with just GMing it.
