Joker,

That makes two of us. What I'm hoping is IG Productions get a large say in how the movie is made and treated, instead of just "Hollywoodizing" GitS.

At least the voices are approximately 100% more likely to be infinitely better than *any* anime voiceovers. Or at least, any that I have heard.

It will be nice not to have wooden, dumbed down and soulless, cheesily 'faux gruff' male and breathy, squeaky 'little girl' female voices. Just for a change.

But anyway, I'm curious to see how it will turn out. :)

Aus,

I'm hoping you're talking about the ORIGINAL movie and not the TV show...
Oh, pretty much all anime really.

Hm. I think I'll just step aside, tone down the blatant honesty a bit a lot, and go my merry way to another thread. :D

Aus,

*sighs* You really need to see Second Gig man. The cast so nailed down their parts, it was uncanny.

In ANY case, you're allowed opinions. I just don't agree with them. :p

I was about to say, " Holy Mother of God! Yeah! " , and then I realized that... that... I can't talk about what I realized, because it's against forum rules... hehehe...

I'm still waiting to see 2nd Stage GIG on either YTV or hopefully, the Anime Channel, if it the Great Lords of the CRTC say fit to let it shine down upon the Earth...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully, even though its a Hollywood production, they won't dumb it down too much. Ghost In The Shell plots and endings can be... complicated, but they should be able to keep the feeling and in-depthness without making it too simple.

God no....

I'd rather see it done in completely in CGI before seeing it done live action. Anything to prevent the series from adopting cheesey Terminator-esque effects to resolve damage that Kusinagi may receive during the course of the film... Also... that way it would prevent the critics from comparing it to the Terminator in their reviews/previews..
