Immortals Handbook - Epic Bestiary (Epic Monster Discussion)

My players should be suitably terrified by a creature which is bigger than any of them (even the dragons in dragon form), made of solid burning metal (what- you think the characters will know what Plutonium is, let alone recognize it when they see the Sentinel made from it?) and wielding a nasty weapon to boot.

Does plutonium actually burn? I know uranium burns, but I guess I had never really thought about plutonium...

Well, the Wikipedia entry says it does. Of course, I know Wikipedia isn't exactly the most reliable information source in the world, but on this point I trust it. Seems a logical consequence of the radioactive decay to me- for example, there's Uranium to compare it with. :)

Regarding the Psionic Cogent, what updates are needed on that. Im looking to play an updated psionic cogent now that ascension is nearing the final stages. Is it possible you could email me one?

I know that the Epic Bestiary is a previous book, but me and the guys back home were discussing possible revisions based on Ascension. Are you going to be doing a revision booklet, or are you going to keep updating the PDF. The PDF route might be easier since it will enable you to update the print version when it finally comes time for it.

Hi dante mate! :)

The psionic cogent is linked on my website, here is the page though.

There are bestiary revisions (and added material) in the print version.

I don't foresee another version of the Bestiary after that.

When will this apocryphal Bestiary print version ever see the light of day? An idea? What about people who bought the PDF version but are now aware that any number of figures in the text might be wrong? any way we can get a copy of the "print version" rules through you?

That would be fair.

Though, even with the PDF Id still run to the store in my jammies with cheesy grin just to gleefully crawl over broken glass to get the print version.

I WANT THE PRINT VERSION AND A PDF UPDATE!!! (:))

I heavily use PDFs and I always buy the books so I can feel the paper and smell the ink. Nothing rivals a good book, except, maybe...really good *censored*. (:))

If I knew, you'd know.

I wouldn't say any of the figures are necessarily 'wrong', simply different.

The basic changes are the headline font, and about half the challenge ratings and those monsters carrying artifacts (the power of those artifacts is almost certainly different).

I'll maybe upload that version to coincide with the print version, just so people don't think they are losing out.
