Immortals Handbook - Epic Bestiary (Epic Monster Discussion)

Looks kind of lopsided.... low AC, but it can take out some 1st-level characters in one hit (wizards, low-Con bards and rogues). Although, I guess eating the wizard and then dying itself would count as "consuming 25% of the party's resources...."

An orc with a greataxe could deal 15 points of damage with a normal blow and 45 on a critical hit.

Hey all! :)

Tonight I finalised my ideas for the Elementars (Dimensional Guardians of the Elemental Planes) so because I shifted some Bestiary Volume 2 critters into Gods & Monsters expect to see the Elementars in Bestiary Volume 2.

The only matter to address (no pun intended) is whether I will include non-epic Lesser Elementars as well.

For those that don't know what Elementars actually are, think of matter corrupted by pure evil. Elementars embody from one to seven of the deadly sins.

The closest movie parallel I can think of would be the 'big bad' from the movie "Phantoms".

The ruler of the Elementars is Sin itself (also known as Satan).

Howdy Pssthpok mate! :)

"Phantoms" was based off a book by Dean Koontz, IIRC... the book was actually pretty good, not his usual boiler-text banality.

I haven't read enough of Koontz to give an opinion either way.

There was something about the movie I really liked. It had a great atmosphere (although I suppose I have a soft spot for those "Where has everybody gone to!?" post-apocalyptic type scenarios*, even if it was only on a small scale in this case).

*as with:

The Omega Man
Day of the Triffids
28 Days Later
Night of the Comet
Day of the Dead

Having just fired up my old Oblviion game for Shivering Isles, it got me wondering, on what tier would a daedric prince (mehrunes dagon, azura etc) be in U_K's system? All daedra, even the least have some variation of cosmic string since they're completely apparently completely immortal, they just come need to come back, which is a possible exception to the nine divines which seem to be their equal or even more powerful, but allegedly can be destroyed. Any takers?

(They've got to be pretty good ;) the Oghma Infinium from Hermaeus Mora is said to elevate the reader to demigod levels of skill and power after all. )

Difficult to say, given that I have not played the game (although some of my friends tell me its quite good). I did a quick check of the wikipedia and it was of no help either. :D

Reading between the lines you could possibly equate them with Demon Princes, of course by that I mean my version of Demon Princes not Wizards of the Coast.

So perhaps somewhere between Demipower and Intermediate Power.

As for their inability to be killed, this could be down to something like a Soul Object, protecting their spirit.
