Implement confusion, expertise and focus

So if I have an assassin/warlock hybrid who is going to use a pactblade shortsword for example. How many feats would I have to get in order to receive the benefits of expertise and focus whether or not I am using that shortsword for either assassin or warlock attacks?

Do I have to get expertise in both light blades and implement? If so, what implement expertise do I need?

You would need 3 feats. Versatile expertise, implement focus, and weapon focus.

You can collapse the latter two if you have access to one of the racial proficiency-plus-focus feats like Turathi Weapon Training, Dwarven Weapon Training, or Eladrin Soldier, since they don't specify "damage rolls of weapon attacks", only "damage rolls". I don't think there's one for short swords, but there may be one for another weapon of use to you. What race are you playing?

You're an Assassin. Wait 3 weeks and take Ki Focus Expertise. No idea on how/if that will handle the damage problem, but I wouldn't be all that surprised.
