There is a lot of talk about ability to have concentration on multiple spells, but problem is also how to balance it.
Here is my suggestion for a feat that does that:
Improved concentration: prerequirements: spellcaster, ability to cast 2nd level spells.
gain; +1 con or +1 to your spellcasting ability,
You can concentrate on two spells at the same time, as long as their combined level is not higher than your highest spell level slot, and neither of those two spells uses your highest level spell slot.
If you fail concentration check, you lose both spells
If you concentrate only on one spell, that is not cast by your highest spell slot, you gain advantage on concentration checks for that spell.
note: cantrips are considered 1st level spells.
I stated, spell level slots, not spell levels, to help full caster multiclass characters.
I.E. 6th level cleric/5 level wizard, could upscale one spell to 3rd level and one to 2nd level(combined 5 levels) and concentrate on both of them as his max level spell slot if 6(11th level caster) or could upscale one spell to 5th level and have advantage on concentration for that spell.
