Iron DM 2011

There is a "Modify" button at the bottom of the "Edit Quiz" page, but it only takes me back to the cover page for the quiz. Perhaps the button is missing because it is an essay?

The only options in the drop-down "Quiz Options" box are these:

Email a Friend
Add Comments
Edit Quiz
Deactivate Quiz
Current Entries

Delete Quiz

Also, I'm going to post in the thread in Meta about Quiz Bugs, to avoid further cluttering this thread.

Ok, can you do something for me?

Go to the quiz main page. Click on your quiz. Take a screenshot of that page and post it here.

Thanks!

(I had to deactivate the quiz, first.)

The quiz is active. The thread is reserved "for friendly cajoling, trash-talking, and chicanery in the finest Iron DM tradition."

I've always wanted to participate in one of these!

How are submissions handled? Do I post in this thread or on the quiz?

Is there a 1500 character limit (i.e. 3 pgs) like the quiz allows? That's not much space, so are we supposed to put page number references for monsters instead is stat blocks?

I was pretty confused by posts upthread.

Enter the Qualifying Round here.

Commentary and Trash-Talk here.

The rules for the quiz answer your other questions (and I believe the quiz allows for 4500 characters).

Your is to write either a short, complete adventure, or a well-written seed of an adventure (well-written enough, that it practically writes itself the rest of the way) that can be easily used by any DM or GM looking for a good adventure.
Only use stats when absolutely necessary, and when you do, keep them brief.
Forgive my ignorance... but is there a particular rules set attached to this? Or a level range we should write for?

Again, the answer to your question is listed in the rules for the qualifying round.

Any style, genre, or rule-set is acceptable for an entry, but, if you have doubts that I might be familiar with something...assume that I am not. That said, do not refer me to other sites for background information; I will follow no such links. Provide relevant detail in the entry.

In addition, if you have the time and inclination, you can read any of the old tournaments (one of which is linked to in the tournament's description--and three more of which are linked to in the first post of that thread) to see ample discussion of the metagame involved in Iron DM (that is, figuring out for yourself what is right or wrong within the parameters set for you).

When I wrote in the rules that they are simple, I really did mean that--they are parameters. Be creative.

Read it, conspicuous absence of level or game system parameters. Got it.

It appears you're mistaken. 1500 words. At theborrom of the dialog box to enter the submission is a little counter with number of characters left; it begins at 1500 and counts downas you type.

Ah, thanks for spelling out the meta-game aspect. That's something a participant unfamiliar with the process wouldn't pick up just reviewing old submissions.

About the quiz format... Does hypertext formatting work work with the quiz setup? I'd hate to send a wall of text.
