Is Iron DM limited to DnD or any d20 genre?

I wouldn't say that I prefer one or the other-- I submitted a d20 Modern one myself, once. A good adventure is a good adventure.

However, I must admit that it's important to me, as the judge, to have a connection to the submission. Given two entries of equal quality, I'm more likely to choose the one that is most accessible to my own gaming experience and what I perceive will be the majority of players.

D&D over d20 Modern, and either of those over any other setting.

Fair enough?

Well, that's 3:30am here, and I do have to work tomorrow, so it looks like I'm out of it unless there's still a slot open 5 hours after sign-up begins... (hah, and that is real likely!)

I'll be interested to read all the entries, as usual. Best of luck to all contestants who are in more convenient time zones than me!

Sorry bout that, I didn't actually do the math.

Next time I'd recommend we go at 10:30 EST. Not a huge improvement, but at least it's doable. It lets the folks over here get their morning settled, and it allows the folks down under (of which I perceive there are many) at least a reasonable shot at getting in.

EDIT: Heh... of course that means the folks on PST have to get up at 7:30 AM... Hmm...

We are closing in on sign-up time.

I am taking the first 7 sign-ups that are posted to this thread on or after 12:30 PM EST.

If you don't make it, sign up anyway-- I don't think we've had an Iron DM yet where we haven't needed an alternate. Alternates will be signed up in similar sequential fashion.

I will try to be here to observe the sign-up process but can't guarantee it, so don't necessarily look for a big kick-off. Just sign up when the clock strikes...

I'm really looking forward to this-- though I had completely forgotten I would need to provide my own ingredients until late last night! As a consequence, certain themes from last night's TV lineup may creep in...
