(IRR) Turn 1: The Emerald Contest

OOC: actually, I could have posted something as Utaku Xieng Chi, but I was waiting for Tokiwong. I wouldn't like be advanced to semifinals without fighting, but, sincerely, I don't like be trown out without fighting too. :( Dunno. Let's say that if Festy would like to challenge me I am here.

"Humor me some, what would happen if I had died?"

-Samanosuke's reply.

Nimuro smiles paternally at the younger man.

"Did you consider that before you placed yourself in danger? Had you been harmed it would have been as much because of your own maneuvering as my reckless attack. All warriors must learn to expect death but only a fool or a hero tries to get himself harmed needlessly. You, of course, are a hero."

The next duel. Shiba Tsukune had hoped and not hoped to meet Togashi Samanosuke - or Sanctus Togashi - in it. She was certain that Sanctus was angry... Angry about their conversation in front of the Unicorn pavillion. She had differenciated between Hoshi-sama and the clan daimyo. She had talked about a gaijin who tried to usurp the position of the clan daimyo. She could have even made him more angry.

Sanctus Togashi, claimimg to be Hoshi-samas son, is now, secretly, the clan daimyo. And according to her research, he indeed is a gaijin. A dangerous man who may never be the Emerald Champion.

She had been ready to do her duty to prevent him from ascending to this position. Blood would have been spilled, a life would have been ended if neccessary. Her blood, her life. And to most, it would have seemed that Sanctus was the only one to make an agressive move. Duty, sacrifice, protection...

But Matsu Nimoru proved to be the more skillful of the duelists. He defeated Sanctus, and now he enters the second duel, against her. It will be hard to remain victorious against him. As a Lion bushi, he certainly is hard to defeat.

"Nimoru-san, I wish to congratulate you for your success in the Test so far. It is an honour for me to meet you on the tournament fields. Your ancestors certainly smile upon you and your fights, pleased."

I'm a little confused now. I never had a definitive way to fix it so that everyone has a fair shot, since one pair of fighters did not post. I could give the two fighters that lost a chance to go at it, and let the winner have a shot against Serpenteyes character.

Couldn't we just pit me against festy, knight otu against serpenteye ad let the winners do the final duel? Let's try to keep it running, we already spent too much times on this. we could be all the players left in the IR. :(

If you agree I'll make my posts tomorrow.

Alright. Seems fine. Off Topic, but the LHHS needs you and Darkwolf (away?) to post as well.

Kakita Kaiten bows and greets his next opponent, "Greetings Utaku-san, we face each other in the hope of the better becoming Emerald Champion, I wish for one of us to fulfill this position and do so to the best of their ability."

Now here is a worthy opponent, Kaiten thinks to himself, The Unicorn have shown their intent for a solid and united Empire, so losing this fight would not truly be a loss at all.

Kaiten takes up an identical stance from the previous fight, but instead of striking aggressivley at his opponents weapon he makes a clean, fluid attack upon his opponents mon, counting entirely upon speed and accuracy.
