Is anyone elses tax return going to spur a gaming buying spree?

Bought a case of Deathknell minis, Libris Mortis and two Ebberon novels.
The rest went on bills and in the "Going to Bristol Race" fund.
This was the first year we got money back in a long time.

Nope, it's all going towards buying down my credit cards, which got in bad shape due to lack of employment for about 6 months last year.

I filed months ago and most of it went toward the expenses I uncurred the week my city was without power in january. The good news there is that if I'm again exposed to freezing cold and pitch darkness 16 hours a day with no phone, no electricity and no means to prepare food I won't have to spend quite as much money on supplies.
WTF? Sorry in advance if I'm derailing the conversation here, but where do you live?

As for my taxes, the IRS and the State of California are sucking up a couple hundred of my bucks. I'm probably going to have to cut myself off from D20 buys for a month or so.

I plan out all of what I'm going to buy in advance, pre-order it on Amazon in chunks, and then it just gets shipped as it comes out. Keeps the per-month cost way down and leaves me free to think about other things.

Tax refund is nice, but really, just a big loan to the government, interest free. But it is still better to get a check than send one, psychologically. Mine this year went toward furniture. I don't need the excuse of a tax refund to buy too many books. ;)

I completed my collection of all the new FR books. But as many have said here, I don't need a tax return to spur a game book shopping spree. Just finished picking up all 30 of the Scarred Lands books. Damn well written material.

This year I owe 300 dollars total.
Last year- DnD miniatures and a bunch of Scarred Lands stuff and metal minis
Year before that about 500 in Warhammer 40K Tyranids
And before that I spent money mostly on Comic books and Hero Clix.

Next year ....I would love some Dwarven forge pieces to build 3-D dungeons.

Being a contractor I usually have to pay, but this year I was blindsided by the excesive amount the government is demanding. I feel like I've just been sodomized by a bus.

No more miniatures for me. :(

Hope that image doesn't offend Eric's grandmother. :o

you better get medical attention after that one. OUCH!
