Is anyone sticking with 3.5?

I'll be 'sticking with' 3.5e as long as it entertains me and people are running/playing it.

I may or may not play 4e (though odds are good that I will), but I'll have to wait and see how I like it. If I DO like it, I will quite happily spend several hundred over the next few years buying stuff for it.

Happily.

I'll play 4e if a friend is running a game that sounds interesting... but for my own purposes, 3.5 is my go-to game for fantasy action.

I'll be sticking with 3.5, and tossing in what I like about the Pathfinder RPG, which at this time is a little more than half!

Personally, 4Ed doesn't look like its getting much traction in my circle of gamers.

My current main game group is making noises about transitioning to 3.5. My secondary group is sticking with 3.X. Then there are all those nifty 3.X variants like AU/AE, Midnight, and even non-fantasy RPGs like Spycraft and M&M. True 20 continues to intrigue me (thanks, Bento!), even though I haven't actually purchased any of it yet.

And I haven't even taken a look at Pathfinder.

IOW, 3.X has a lot of miles left in its tank as far I'm concerned.

4e isn't getting a lot of traction among my gamer friends either. We're curious enough to try it, but none of us really want to ditch a system as good as 3.5 either. We'll give 4e a try, but based on people's preliminary reactions to it, it will be relegated to pick-up games.
Pathfinder has some promising aspects to it but I'm going to go so far as to lump that in with the 3.5 family and say we're not really leaving 3.5...

I'd imagine that I'll be playing a bit of both. I want to give 4E the chance its due, but I have to admit that Pathfinder interests the heck out of me. My group is evenly split on which way to go, so I could totally see it being dependant upon what I want to run. Even then, there's a chance that some 4E system changes might get adopted so that we can avoid the whole grappling the troll scenario.

My group will play OGL games. Castle & Crusades for fantasy. Likely True20 or Odyssey for science fiction/modern, although I still want to give D20 Modern a go. Pathfinder the RPG is a contender for a replacement to 3.x for our sometimes DM who prefers 3.x., although I give high odds to him just simply sticking with 3.5. It is always possible that we will pick up other systems entirely, but it's more likely that we will stick with C&C and 3.x derivatives.

Another person here not planning on switching to 4e. It addresses several issues that I have with 3e, but based on previews and design journals, it often does so in a manner that I find both inadequate for my tastes and inferior to existing thrid party support. Therefore, I'll stay with 3e (and mostly third party products) for my DND needs.

That said, DND is going to be taking a back seat for a while behind M&M, d20 Modern, (again with third party supplements), True 20, HARP and Rolemaster. Thankfully, it is not an issue, because 4e has no traction in my group nor the other groups with whom I am in contact.
