Is anyone sticking with 3.5?

I will be staying with 3.5 or PRPG. Either one. I have no interest to moving over to 4e. 4e doesn't have anything to offer that 3.5 doesn't already have. I feel that 4e is being released because they can. Not because they should.

I'll be staying 3.5. I will buy Pathfinder as well.

No 4E.

I would have bought the 4E core books, but once they revealed the subscription model (i.e no Druids, Bards, Monks, etc. in core rules I), I decided not to do that.

I enjoy playing multiple systems at the same time. Currently its Rolemaster, Exalted and Arcana Evolved. Will I be sticking with 3E in the future? Absolutely. As 4E and 3E are quite different in design goals, system and feel, I find no reason at all why both can't be played and enjoyed at the same time.

I am aware of all the excitement of those who fall into the 4e camp and those who fall into the Pathfinder RPG camp. Let me say up front that I have no problem with those who plan to switch to 4e or those switching to Pathfinder. With all the buzz surrounding 4e and PRPG, I'm wondering if anyone is planning to stick with 3.5 D&D and if so, why?

I'm sticking with 3.5 for a variety of reasons.

1. My group doesn't want to change.
2. Everyone has plenty of money invested in 3.5 books and doesn't feel the need to drop another hundred dollars to buy the core rules for the new edition.
3. We have a 3.5 campaign going with established PCs and converting the campaign to Pathfinder or 4e would be potentially difficult and time-consuming and would change too many of the fundamental ideas of the campaign. I have no desire to retrofit new rules to my entire campaign.
4. We are all leery of the changes being made in 4e and the power level of Pathfinder seems to be too amped up for what our current campaign is accustomed to.
5. My group is content with the 3.5 rules.
6. I have enough 3.5 material (print and pdf) to run games for years.

So, anyone else sticking with 3.5 for the forseeable future?
Ditto most of theae original sentiments. I will probably DM 3.5, CoC d20, and play in the same and perhaps a little Modern or even (gasp) 4e.

I see things about 4e that I like and things that I don't. I wouldn't invalidate my vast D&D library and accumulated campaign material unless it was for an upgrade. 4e is more of a change in philosophy than a better version of 3e, which is fine, but is not what I need.

While I'm very likely to move to 4e, one thing that might slow my adoption is:
1) I want PDFs. If PDFs will go on sale at some delay after the physical books, I'm waiting.
2) I want flexibility and range of material. Given PHB2/DMG2 won't be out until a year from now (at least last mention of it), I may not adopt 4e until a year or two from now, when it offers at least some of the robust scope of material that 3.5e has now.

Yes, I'm sticking with 3.X. I have thousands of dollars invested in d20 books. I like the rule set. I like tinkering with the rule set (E6 and so on).

Currently, my husband is running a Midnight game for us, which of course is a 3.x setting. He wants to run a 4e module to test the new rules after that, but then it will be my turn to DM again, and I'm running E6. I haven't decided if I'll use Wilderlands again, or Known World or maybe something else. Heck, I might even use Kalamar.

I have the html SRD on my hard drive. So it won't ever matter if future players can't get a copy of the PHB--I'll just burn a CD for them.

I'm starting a new 3.5 game in July. It might be the last for a while because I do want to give 4e a try. But we are also playing M&M and that's going well and I have a Buffy game starting this week. So, there are many games to be played. I never limit myself to just the new ones. I'd still play 2e if people wanted. :D

My group's sticking with 3.5 for the foreseeable future. Depending upon how "backwards compatible" Pathfinder turns out to be, I might give it a shot, but I've got enough Dungeon adventures to keep me busy for the rest of my roleplaying days. And I'm not the least bit interested in 4E at all.

My current plan is to stick with 3.5. 4th edition is going in a direction that I do not care for, although it looks to be a very good game for what it is. Pathfinder has my attention, but there's a lot to be said for the level of comfort I have with the 3.5 rules. I'm more interested in continuing with a system I'm comfortable with than learning something entirely new...especially since many of the perceived problems with 3.5 have never come up at my gaming table.
