is disable broken?

I mean no offense by this, Bebo, but I cannot comprehend what you are trying to say. I think that it has something with the complete lack of punctuation and capitalization in your post.

no offense taken if u can try to read good if u cant take impropre english leesons to learn how dumb ppl type like me and my penguin friend to the left of me so basicly disable is broken because its cheap and can cast reaptly and never fail it seems

Bebo, welcome! You'll find that you get a lot better response to your posts here if you don't use IM slang ("u" instead of "you.")
And in answer to your question, disable device is just fine. Think about it; either the DC is low enough that you'd be able to disable the device eventually (hopefully not setting it off in the process), or its high enough that you'd never be able to afffect it. Either way, you can't take 20 on a lot of disable device checks, because there would be a penalty for failure.

Though I don't understand his reference much. I think he meant.
1) disable the victim
2) coup de grace
3) repeat from 1
He felt that it is broken.
I don't think so. he must have forgotten that he can't affect higher than 5 HD. He must have also forgotten that it acts like the sleep spell.
So, coup de grace, fort save or die, saved, wake up. disabled again in the next round.
This post assumes that the target failed the save vs Disable. This post also assumes that the target succeeds the fort save.
so in response, No it isn't broken. The initial poster did not however state his level nor the level or hitdice of his opponents. So had he been targeting higher than 5levels or 5 HD, he is in error in using this tactic and his DM should be more careful and read the description of Disable in the Psionics handbook page 67.
