That's because it is a skill. As in Craft (Construct), like Craft (Weaponsmith).

It's an Item Creation Feat
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Wonderous Item.

Benefit: Create any constructs whose prerequisites you meet. Enchanting a Construct takes 1 day for each 1,000 gp in it's market price. To enchant a construct, you must spend 1/25 the item's price in XP and use raw materials costing half of this price. This feat can also be used to repair constructs that have taken damage. In one day of work, you can repair up to 20 points of damage by expending 50 gp per point of damaged repaired. A newly created construct has average hit points for it's hit dice.

Concentration wasn't on that list. Is that an oversight? If not, do you have any insight on how they're handling Casting Defensively (or it that's even an option anymore) and continuing a spell if damaged during casting?

Yep not too easy to acquire!

50 gp per hp repaired?!
Mmmh we'll have to discard all those instant and free repair XYZ damage from Tome & Blood. What a pity, they were wonderful.

Not really. The 50 gp and skill checks would be like a party of adventurers relying on their natural healing without a Cleric. The spells are, of course, a much better idea.

Not really the same... Over time, adventurers naturally heal their wounds so magic is only a way to save some time... but in this case the fact is exchanging spell for (many) gp. A simple first level spell repair light damage from a 1st level wizard would fix a mean of 275 gp!

If they made this choice it's because they wanted the constructs to be very expensive. Maybe because there will be no HD limit, so if there weren't some limitations high level wizards could walk with an army of golems.
