Is this gaming product too offensive or merely funny?

A thread at WOTC messageboards describes a Web Enhancement for Mongoose's "Slayer's Guide to Female Gamers" that I personally think crosses the line. To the point that I have written Mongoose and told them so, and that I won't buy stuff from them.

I have been called overly politically correct on that thread. I was wondering what you guys thought. In their defence, it was intended to be humourous.

More offensive then funny...and from my experience the males at conventions or game stores (or wherever) always seemed to have more issues then the females.

Don't know about the web enhancement....

But, my WIFE found it so funny I bought it for her.

So if she finds it funny, (and she's pretty pro-woman, raised by a single mom & whose dad was such an a****** that he's not allowed in the state seeing as he kicked his mom down a flight of stairs).

So no, it's not meant to be anti-female. More of a satire. And all good satires pi** somebody off.

Mongoose does (I believe) have the largest amount of bare nippled cleavage of any d20 gaming company. (Conan had at least 1 naked woman per every other page- the margin picture).

I didn't find it funny. Offensive? I'm thinking yes. I'm not going to boycott Mongoose for it though. I simply wouldn't buy the product and drop a line to Mongoose about why.

I don't want to hurt Paranoia XP just because Mongoose made a bad choice in slayer guide subjects.

Mildly amusing. I don't understand people who get their knickers in a twist over things like this. This did remind me of why I don't patronize the Wizards boards. It's nice to be reminded that ENWorld is an oasis of civility.

Since you asked, yes, you were being overly sensitive, and rather rude about it as well.

For the record, I am completely against the deletion of people based on the content of their posts, and I wish the Moderators would stop doing it.

As for the Mongoose PDF, I think it's pretty damn funny. Lowbrow, not incredibly clever, and don't seek any depth...but funny.
