Reading the digital talk on the first page reminded me of Christmas this year.

Two of my cousins are younger than 8 years old.
They both were using iPads and headphones at our Christmas party
One of them doesn't know how to read.

How can Pen-and-Paper survive if kids are using Nintendos before they learn how to read?

Edit:
To echo the 6 year old quote:
Jeez! the Sky is always falling, isn't it?
Well ! Isn't it !

Well, sky bit have not hit me in the noggin yet. And yes WoTC have changed their digital strategy somewhat since, even changed editions. As for your cousins, well my nephews are also children of the digital age even if somewhat older and 3 of them have run D&D campaigns with 2 currently doing so.

This thread began 1 year after 4e came out and predicted death for D&D.

This thread was necro'd 1 year after 5e came out, with threads elsewhere predicting death for D&D.

The more things change...
