So I went to see Unleashed the other night (good movie, by the way). During the pre-show "entertainment" (I put it in quotes because...well, you know.) they played a song by the artist Nikka Costa. While it is not my style, I did not have a problem with it.

What I did find irritating, however, was the name of her album:

Can't Never Did Nothin'

Now, I'm not saying we should censor such insane grammar or anything, but just seeing it in writing up on the screen made my blood pressure rise, for certain.

Am I insane? Would that bother you?

Not really... this ties into the "Sayings from your neck of the woods" thread for me... because when I was a kid, that was a phrase my dad would use on me when I'd get frustrated and say "I can't do it." He'd say..and I've misspelled to emphasize the accent, "Cain't never never did nothin', now get out there and try it agin."

Bad Grammar? Sure. Lifelong lesson in not giving up? You bet.

I wouldn't say that making money is the measure of "smarts."

But I'm a fool, so she probably is smarter than I am, anyway.

And you are correct...I am not making millions of anything...especially dollars.
