Olgar Shiverstone
Legend
I think we'll substitute the term "Suck it!". As in "Suck it, goblin!", "Suck it, ogre!", or "Suck it, Bargle!". Short, easy to say, and appropriately challenging for the fighter.
In 2nd edition Combat and Tactics Heroic Fray was introduced as a concept. It was a rule that allowed fighters to attack low hitdice critters up to their level times per round. I always liked the ring of Heroic Fray and wouldn't mind hearing it more often. It's something about these French words harkening back to medieval times that strikes a cord within me. It even works with dice.
-Fray Dice.
This is a pretty small issue, but nitpicking is what we do here, right?
Anyways, does anyone else feel this way? Other class features like "sneak attack" and "rage" are quick and to the point, not the eight syllable monstrosity that "combat superiority" is (nine syllables, if you say combat superiority dice). I guess you could abbreviate it to "CS", but my group rarely abbreviates stuff as it makes things a bit too gamey.
Anyways, just sayin'. They should rename it to something shorter.
