As we do every year, it's time to vote for the most anticipated tabletop roleplaying game of the coming year! Here is last year's Top 10 (spoiler: the winner was Legend in the Mist). Previous winners include 13th Age (2013), Star Wars Force & Destiny (2015), Rifts for Savage Worlds (2016), Trudvang Chronicles (2017), Vampire: the Masquerade 5th Edition (2018), Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (2019), Dune (2020 & 2021), Twilight 2000 (2021), Blade Runner (2022), Pendragon 6E (2023), and Shadow of the Weird Wizard (2024). The most common reasons for a game's nomination being invalid is because it's already available. Check DTRPG and the publisher's own website and make sure you can't already buy it there.
• Did I make a mistake? Almost certainly. I make a lot of mistakes. If you spot a game on the list which doesn't qualify (usually because it's already available!) let me know so I can remove it.
• How does a game qualify? It must have been nominated by you in the nomination thread with a valid formatted nomination, it must be a standalone tabletop RPG (not a setting, adventure, supplement, etc.), and it's projected release date to the general public (not just Kickstarter backers) should be in 2026.

Thanks for the list! I read up on several and ended up voting for:

Dungeon Crawler Carl: My group read it and I recently caught up. I'm really curious what they do with it. For that same reason I also voted for
Diablo: for almost the same reason. Is it just in Tristram? Does it cover more than that? Does this follow the games and therefore the demon order? Or does it give the GM options? I'm also curious about how they handle the random loot drops.
Finally, I voted for
Assassin's Creed because I'm curious how they are going to do a campaign across the multiple time periods. It does open up to a lot of potential sourcebooks for them, including local ones if some company wanted to do that.

I'm not the biggest fan of the AC video games. I don't think I have completed one of them and only have two of them? Four? I'm more curious about how they created the campaign structure. I further admit not knowing many of the games and wanting to pick three and decided on this one.

I use RPGs to tell stories of characters not of places. I don't know that I could run Shadowdark, Deathbringer, or other similar games where it's a meat grinder. As I write that, I know I voted for two meat grinder games in Diablo and DCC but I'm a fan of both and want to see what they do with the IP and the game.

I used to collect and read more RPGs but stopped doing that when I couldn't play them. I'm getting back into that as something to read. I might end up picking a few more.
