I've lost weight! Now what?

Mmhh, I really need to lose some weight. Sitting on my ass doing exactly nothing for four months straight hasn't helped at all, what with the 15 kilos I gained in that time.

But then, only one more month until the uni semester starts and I expect that I'll be living off bread and water from then on for financial reasons :p. And do sports and stuff. And have something to do.

I can't deal with having nothing to do. If merely 'no school anymore, not yet university' is this bad, I wonder what unemployment might do to me :(.

I'e lost about 30 pounds since january and remained pretty stable since about july. All Ive done is started walking. Out of sheer bordome, mostly, but just walking. Well, Ive also started drinking, but I dont think that tends to promote weight loss, generally speaking! Well, Ive replaced my drinking pop (soda, whatever... ) with tea, too. Just small things, not painful at all, and the walking is actually pleasant. If Im not up to walking Ill stop after a short stroll. But Ive been suprised at how well its worked. Id suggest just taking short walks. It should help you keep the weight off.

Calorie counting with a view to not eating more than 800 per day, walking 10 - 15 miles per week and 2 hours of martial arts per week.
Looks like a pretty simple plan can be adopted: keep increasing your caloric intake until your weight stabilizes. If that level of intake is less than you like, increase your level of exercise until that your weight starts going down again. Repeat until satisfied with new weight, lifestyle.

That's no good! Bread is a high carb food! :p

congrats. i've been eating better and exercising more and I've put on 7 pounds. Yeah my waist is slimmer but it is still depressing. Don't backslide if you put on a few pounds and get discouraged.

Why? I mean, the actual desired weight is somewhat arbitrary after all--if you're obviously in better shape, why would that depress you?

Agreed. As you replace fat with muscle, you become more dense.
