IWD2 Crashing! Need help

Ok i have the latest drivers, all the max specs, but for SOME ungodly reason the damn game is crashing on me left and right in chapter 1 at the goblin fortress. The game keeps freezing and the sound is stuttering. Anyone know of any help?

Yes i dl the patch already and it didn't help

The patch only addressed two very specific issues that prevented alot of people from even playing the game at all, so it's no surprise that it hasn't affected you're system.

Aside from that, I'd say check their forums. It hasn't gotten too uncivil there. Yet.

Its run totally smooth for me so far, in fact far smoother than any IE game has in the past. Make sure you have turned off any virus checking apps. Also, its not always the best thing to have the latest drivers. Keep in mind this engine is 2 years old. I'm running on a 1Ghz AMD with a TNT2 and its great. I don't have EAX turned on however.

bah i ramped the system down to a crawl and now it runs fine..stupid engine!
