Jackie Chan Adventures

First Post
I've only seen Jackie Chan Adventures maybe 5 times, but what I've seen is pretty darn good.

Recently I saw an episode where all the characters (good and bad) were "juggling" the 12? token thingys in a big battle royale. Damn funny fight scene with everyone using different powers, and the tokens getting knocked around from one person to another.

I hope this series comes out on DVD. I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I've got to find out when this show regularly comes on so I can try to catch it every week (day?). Anybody know how many episodes there has been so far? Is this still in production, or am I just going to see reruns?

Xiaolin Showdown is a quest show much in the vein of Jackie Chan. It is about four monks who are dragons of each of the elements (they aren't literally dragons). They are on a quest to find the Shen Gong Wu, sacred artifacts. Of course if evil finds them all then the world will be thrown into darkness. Principle bad guys are Jack Spicer (he is voiced by the guy who did Milo on PepperAnn) and Wuya, who is incoporeal due to her defeat by the original master of the Shen Gong Wu.

If they find one of the Shen Gong Wu and two parties want posession of it they call a Xiaolin Showdown. The opponents agree to some wager (most often a race of some sort) and ante up their Shen Gong Wu they possess and the one in question.

The villains are cool as are the heroes. The SHowdowns are inventive and the good guys don't always win. There's usually a moral of some sort buried wwithin the toon, but it is a fun show.

The Kids' WB airs a full hour in the afternoon after Jackie Chan Adventures.

Ah, Xiaolin Showdown. :)

I remember I saw the creator of that at an Anime Convention sometime before it was actually aired on TV and we got to see the first episode in storyboard format, which was pretty cool. Both that and Jackie Chan Adventures are pretty good. I think both have gotten even better as the shows continue on, too, which is great.

For now, Kids' WB is not ordering new episodes.

That makes me sad.

The show was watchable 1st season, but I was sorely disapointed when the "animate objects" talisman was stuck into a troll toy rather than the dragon statue.

Toru is amusing on the hero's side.

i missed most of the story arc where the dragon was posessing the crime boss.

The druid episode was amusing.

The evil sorcerer with the Y'Gloganic hands is cool.

The animation however is sucky kline-level however IMHO.

Now you know how I feel about the short run of X-Men: Evolution. I mean, it was shorter than the FOX version back in the last millenium.

Who knows? Maybe they can get Michelle Yeoh or Jet Li to go animation.
