Jade Kestrel defeats Kitsune Haru (Otu judged)

[Ciaran]

Haru bows to the Jade Kestrel and to the judge, draws his swords and steps into the Dragon stance. He shuffles back and forth for a moment, trying to take his opponent’s measure, then pivots and lunges low, his blades whirling and flashing in the maneuver called Three Stalking Tigers.

The tiger vanquishes the village; dodges the cut of the feline!
Fist of Fury!
The trident drops through the brush; leaps over the violence of the fires!

 

[Seonaid]

She composes herself for a fraction of a second, and then blasts Kitsune, breaking off in time to hopefully block his move.

The ki-rin becomes one with the hells; parries the thrust of the mountain!

Edit: I wasn't sure who was supposed to go first, so if I goofed, sorry.

(I think that I go first because of my higher rank. I can never remember that rule though. )

"The noble ki-rin becoming one with the Hells? A strange concept, but if they team up, they'd be very strong indeed.

On the other hand, Haru's move is quite strong by itself, and does not rely on unusual circumstances...

Jade Kestrel's move has a certain poetic strength, but actual strength win the round!

"Your mizu-do is very strong!" says Haru admiringly as he tries to guard against the Kestrel's assault. "But is strong enough to repel the 'Crane Strikes the Yomi Kings' technique?"

The crane slashes through the hells; guards against the chaos of the fortification!

Flourishing his katana, Haru attempts a 'Wing Conceals the Beak' strike with his wakizashi.

The crane sucker punches the well; shields the edge of the body!

Kestrel draws a long dagger and tries to slice into Haru while also sliding away from his attack.

The southern cross carves the shrine; waves away the push of the holy ground!
