James Cameron fantasy movie hypothesis

Imagine if James Cameron (creator of Avatar) made his own fantasy movie series, set in a world just like D&D (having all the wizards, magic, dark lords, races, fantastical creatures, etc), imagine how he could pull it off. The storyline could either be something out of Eragon or something even better, but the former seems more likely. Either way, it would involve epic quests and epic battles. Each movie would not only be very long, but would also have special editions making them even longer. It would have the many character archetypes seen in many epic fantasy movies. Of course, it would also be in 3d.

To top it all off, there would be even more media to expand the series' continuity. First, there would be both novels and comics, both on the movies and having their own storylines. Also, there would be a huge variety of games. For video games, there would be multi-platform games based around the movies, an MMORPG, an RTS/RTT series, other CRPGs, and more. For tabletop games, there could be role-playing games (including a D20 license and GURPS), trading card games (including one from WoTC), collectible miniatures games (including one from Wizkids), miniature wargames (including one from Games Workshop), board games (including some from FFG), and more.

How do you think that would turn out?

James Cameron's New World

He could easily adapt from his earlier works.
For example use the Bermuda Triangle to have a ship enter this "new" world and have the crew and passengers cope with being stuck on an entirely new world one where technology is viewed the same way we view magic here whereas magic is the norm over there.
Or rather magic and technology are really the same its just not perceived the same way.
So say we have a group set ashore to discover what things are like and have to develop a base so they can survive given their limited stores and ability to figure out what happened.
However inhabitants of this world aren't as welcoming as they would hope since this is a world in the grip of a dark era where evil can be absolutely anywhere and its up to a group of the crew and passengers to develop a rapport with the less violent inhabitants if they want to survive here.
However not everyone aboard feels the same way leading to a mutiny that strands those that are ashore at the time.
This could easily be remade into a tv series or even a trilogy!
Was thinking of Titanic, Avatar and the Abyss for examples of James Cameron's work for this example.

Depends on how greedy he is and more importantly how open he is to these avenues after all the original Star Wars was never expected to be so big and that was because nothing had ever been developed commercially before, he needs to keep an eye out on this and be prepared to accept a lesser fee in return for a little percentage in hopes this development worls out even half as well!
