[Jan] What are you playing?

Well, the New Year is upon us, and as a continuation of my last thread, I am asking this for the whole month anew.

Myself, I'm playing Fire Emblem for GBA. Not bad, although it's either story or combat, not much else, but I DO like the D&D-style combat.

Also on my list for cube is Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, and XIII. Gonna see if I can pick up Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Viewtiful Joe, as well as a bunch of GBA games coming in.

I'm actually looking for a new game to tackle. I'm in the midst of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snakeeater, but I know it won't keep me much longer. I have friends trying to drag me back into City of Heroes, but it's just not sounding appealing anymore. I think I'll be grabbing the Splinter Cell games cheap and playing them, since I haven't tried those yet.

This is not due to a lack of computer power but I am still playing Tribes *coughs* 1, however even that is only for about an hour or so a day as a brain relaxer. The rest of my time I spend coding my NPC Designer/Generator.

Finally playing through the original KotOR. Its what I get for being both cheap and not having an X-Box, but oh well. I think I'm one of the few people who is being driven crazy by it, but that's mostly timeline issues and such(Why oh why couldn't Bastila have been Vima Sunrider?!). The game itself is fun, though I wish they'd taken a more Tales of the Jedi-esque view on the Jedi, as the Jedi Order around the prequel's time doesn't become that way until hundreds of years later...

Methinks its just the root of my hate for the "Rule of Two" for the Sith. Stupid Darth Bane...I liked the idea of tons of real Sith running around everywhere...

Final piece of ranting: Juhani bugs me the most, as she looks nothing at all like any Cathar I've ever seen...

But overall, I love the game! Ahh, to be a Star Wars geek. Tis a curse.

Right now I'm working my way through Metroid Prime 2. It's a fun enough game, but I can't help but feel that its mostly a rehash of the first one... sure, there are a couple new things, but overall it just feels so much like MP1 and not like its own game. Also, I'm a little disappointed that the design team didn't try to have Samus keep all her old equipment. It would have been difficult, no doubt, but I think it would have been more rewarding than what they did. Story is pretty weak too, which is a bit of a bummer.

Also playing World of Warcraft, which is a lot of fun, though I haven't been on in the last few days due to MP2. I started a new character on Featherymoon to join the ENWorld guild, and I'm enjoying him a lot more than my old character. Been playing along with my bro, which is also tres cool.

I just bought Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door at the recommendation of a friend of mine. I've heard lots of good things about this game.

Finally, I'm even more behind Ankh-Morpork, in that I still haven't played KotOR, though I'm planning on picking it up once I get through PM:TYD and MP2.

[edit]Stupid spelling mistake, flogging myself now...
