Jeremiah Season 2 (Possible Spoilers)

Has anyone been watching the current season? So far I have enjoyed it. I like the character of Mister Smith. I thought the characters have moved in logical directions. Theo is still one of my favorite characters on the show and one I hate the most. ;)

So far the highlights have been Jeremiah meeting and interacting with his Father. The partnership between Smith and Kurdy has been interesting.

Does anyone know why there was such a long time between season 1 and 2? Seems like it's been almost a year or more since season 1 ended. I thought I remember some trouble between JMS and MGM or SHowtime, but I see his name in the writing credits for almost all the episodes this season on the official site.

I've watched the first three episodes, but since I don't get Showtime my viewings are delayed.

I definitely like the direction they're taking with all the characters. I'm really surprised that (season 2 spoiler)
Jeremiah's father survived. I was really expecting him to die.
Always can count on JMS to do unexpected things.

The Kurdy/Smith pairing was bound to happen, seeing as how Kurdy really is the more spiritual of the two. But they play off of each other incredibly well. I'm really interested to see where they're taking them.

I also really liked Kurdy's virtual promotion to a lieutenant, like Erin. Erin's definitely one of my favorites. And speaking of, did I get kind of a vibe along the lines of an Erin/Kurdy pairing?

Finally, Theo is by far the best part of Jeremiah.

There was trouble with the season, with Showtime trying to butt into the creative process (gulp). Season 2 is finished, but JMS isn't working on the third season, if there is one. The fact that the second season is only fourteen episodes (compared with 22 in the first season) doesn't particularly bode well either.

On a related note, we're gonna have to wait until January for the second half of the season. After episode seven, there's gonna be a haitus for the holiday season.

Ahhh. That will suck if JMS isn't working on the third season, should it happen. I doubt it will have the same feel, but I'll probably still give it a try.

Ugh. I hate crap like that. Granted then there is SciFi and their half-seasons they do. Show half the season during the summer and the second half in January.

You know I think Jeremiah would make an interesting RPG. A nice post-apocalyptic game without any magic or advanced tech. Just people trying to survive and maybe if they're lucky to make the world a better place. :)

No if about it. Though I was wrong, it was MGM that he had problems with. My bad.

An excellent explanation by the man himself: http://www.jmsnews.com/scripts/MsgStore.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetMsg&List=1&Topic=1&Flags=1&Query=jeremiah&QFlags=1&ls=1&qs=1&qt=0

It would definitely make an interesting RPG, and if I had a group I'd be highly tempted to run a d20M version of it. With Theo, of course! :)

I'm not sure if it was the copy I got, or if the episode actually looked that way, but there was one thing in the latest episode that seemed weird to me.
First, Mister Smith goes to talk to Bad Guy Boss in private, and says he has a message from someone. Then, all of a sudden, he's outside finishing bashing the last of the Bad Guys.
So, was that the way the episode actually aired? And if not, what did I miss?
