Just Got Hit By A Drunk Driver

I'd suggest that you go to the hospital and make sure you're okay. My aunt was hit by a drunk and felt fine until a week later when she couldn't move. Turns out she had some minor fractures in her back.

Everywhere, all the time. Drunk drivers are all over, especially around this time of year, the dumbasses.
Yeah, thanks for that insightful post. I was asking where this incident in particular happened, if my post wasn't clear enough.

Good, it happened in the United States. This guy should spend time in prison, and he can be sued for the new car coming your way. You and your families health is most important, and now that that is established, it's good to know you're covered.

What did you think of the movie?

Sorry. I'm sorry to hear this. I really am. Glad to hear you were not hurt too bad. Just make sure you get fully checked out. There could be hidden injuries. I have a bad back and it due to my weight and a wreck that should have killed me.

Mythusmage: I wouldn't be for tests of dexterity, even after what happened last night. I'm an excellent driver, but have a nerve condition that might make me fail them. Plus, I'd hate to see the first time someone needed to start their car for an emergency like getting someone to the hospital, but they can't because they're too shaken to readily pass the test. A built-in, fast, breathalyzer, OTOH, wouldn't be bad - it wouldn't catch drugged drivers, but it would still help in enough situations to be worthwhile.

In the case of an emergency I wouldn't want someone so badly shaken he can't pass a test to be out driving in the first place. Let emergency personnel transport the victim.

BTW, dang abeut your nerve condition.

Now tell me, will it be the accident that reminds you of the movie, or the movie that reminds you of the accident? :)

Whoa, settle down, sport! I know what you were asking - I was just using your post to comment that drunk drivers are all around. I was calling THEM dumbasses, not you. Sheesh. Push out the jive, bring in the love.

Torm,
I am glad to hear that everyone is okay except for some minor cuts and bruises. I had a similar experience about 4 years ago except that the driver was not drunk (he had no license or insurance). He totaled the front passenger quarter panel of the Chrysler New Yorker I was driving in much the same fashion.

I will say from experience that both Rel and Wolf are right. Problems might not show up right away. So, if anything out of the ordinary develops see your doctor immediately.
