TSR Just when you thought it was all over.... now there’s a fourth TSR!

In the story that will never end, after having this week turned itself into Wonderfilled, Inc, and deleted its Twitter account, TSR is BACK AGAIN! Like again, again, again, again. Complete with old-school logo! And Michael appears to actually exist!

Michael K. Hovermale says in a press release that an unnamed individual (I’m guessing Stephen Dinehart) apparently ran all the social media accounts for TSR, Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum, Ernie Gygax, Justin LaNasa, and Giantlands. He goes on to say that this person has been replaced, and that all posts on those social media accounts are "invalid". There's no mention of Stephen Dinehart's social media accounts though.

Dinehart has left TSR3, taking Giantlands with him. Given that Star Frontiers mentions have been quietly removed a week or so ago, that would leave TSR3.5 without any roleplaying game products, as far as I can tell.

The existing (TSR3} website still says it's WONDERFILED (sic), Inc. However there’s now a NEW one at TSR Hobbies. We’ll call that TSR3.5 for now. I’m struggling to distinguish TSRs from tribbles at this point. They just keep on coming!

I think they (Michael) may be having some fun. I mean, the Twitter profile (i.e. Michael Hovermale) that posted the above has "Public Relations Officer, TSR" in their profile.

I dunno. I think that there are already a large-ish number of OSR products that do capture the feeling of old school TSR with varying quality. Some without the issues of new TSR, even.

The idea behind the phrase "you can't go back home again" is that so much has changed since you left that it's just not the same. Even if I were to pick up AD&D 1st edition, Unearthed Arcana, and some old Dragon magazines, I will never recapture the feeling I had playing the game because I've changed so much over the last 30 years.

It's been a few years since I've seen any of my DVDs of his stuff. But it's not even the misogyny (I'm assuming you mean stuff like the "funny" times he had male characters fall onto female ones and things like that in some of his super hero movies) so much as finding out that he was a terrible bully to the actors. I keep thinking about what was going on behind the scenes when he was threatening actors or slamming them against walls.

When I found out he wasn’t allowed to be alone with Michelle Tratchenberg when she was on the show…
That was more the last straw though. He’s pretty bad.
