KC Game Day - July10th at 31st Century Games

Sounds cool. Personally, May and June are both good. As long as there's a set date I can probably work something out and finally get around to meeting some gamers in the area.

Very cool! So happens my father in law is a cop in Grandview. Hope you stay out of trouble :p :uhoh:

Taren, I moved here from the Alexandria, VA area last August. I'm definitely enjoying it out here, and I've been hoping another Gameday would happen. My roommate's definitely in -- I was telling him about it, and he's a D&D player from back in AD&D (not that long ago, but when you're 22 and haven't been gaming too long, it is), and definitely interested in seeing what else is around here gaming-wise. I've been gaming for about six, seven years now, from D&D to Vampire and Mage to the Hero system and a few smaller systems I hardly remember. -Huge- Planescape fan, though I've never played in a game -- just read everything I can.

My girlfriend's been interested for a bit, and has done some online role-playing, but nothing too deep -- but she's done enough to ask me a little more about the stack of books on my shelf. So who knows what'll happen between now and then?

Hey Linnorm. Are you a recent ENWorld member? I don't recall seeing your name from the previous KC Game day discussions. Regardless, we'll be glad to have you.

Speaking of dates, does anyone have a preference? Keeping in mind that I have not even talked to 31st Century yet, so whatever we decide would still be tentative with him, though unless he has some other event going on, I doubt there would be any reason it couldn't happen.

Very cool! I've been gaming for 16 years (I'll be 28 next month), and my wife has been gaming for over 5 (since she met me :) - she's 24). Glad you like it out here!

Always good to get gamer transplants ;)

Either month works fine with me, and I'm very flexible on dates.

I've been around for awhile, longer than the Jan '02 join date would suggest. I happened to see this thread on the front page "Latest Topics" section and figured I'd say "Hi". I've been in the area for 8 years or so, but I've been holding out for my friends to get our schedules synced so we can start gaming again. It hasn't worked out too well. :( I'd like to get into a group, but just haven't gotten off my <donkey> to do it yet.

As far as dates go, my schedule is pretty open so pretty much anything should work.

As far as dates go, I'd say maybe sometime in early June, so that those who are in School can go without finals being on their mind the whole time.

Agreed.

I'd be interested in attending a Game Day again, though I missed the last one due to conflicting responsibilities. I'd probably even be interested in running something at this one... maybe Deadlands, maybe d20 Rokugan, maybe (if there's any interest) my oddball historical-fantasy-1760s-CoC game.
