And I've exhausted my google skills. I can't find a reference -anywhere- on the internet for that store on 87th street by the library. I'm starting to question wherever I ever went in there, or whether it was just some kind of hazy dream....

Hah! Okay, I live practically right next to the thing -- I live in an apartment complex in the neighborhood, so I found that on a walk to the library. It's behind the Arby's and McDonald's in that strip mall, back behind it a little ways where you can't see it from the road. I don't think it's a Gamer's Quest -- I'll check the name of it tonight, and post it this evening. I'll hit that on my walk with my girlfriend. It is a pretty small store -- better than the Battlezone, definitely, but there's some solid appeal in having an FLGS in walking distance from the apartment. Keeps me from just hopping in the car for everything, so I get some exercise.

It's been there at least since August, but before that, I'm pretty useless as far as area history goes.

I saw it when my wife and I went to the library last year (to get the Missouri state income tax form, which I'll need to do again this year [mental note]).

I talked to the guy briefly, and he seemed friendly enough. He indicated that he had a rather loyal following of customers. I told him that I'd never been in his store, and I asked him if he'd been here very long. "Several years", was his answer. I was quite stunned. I can't remember if he said exactly how many years, but the fact that it was more than one blew me away.

Someone needs to get that man an "idiot's guide to Marketing" book, because I'm sure he could sure use a copy.

It is called Gamer's Quest. I've been there a few times. It seems to be an okay place. Pretty organized.

Let me know the date and I'll try to clear my schedule to be there. Weird Wars went over well last time. I think I'll have to make that a regular thing at the Game Day events.

That sounds like fun, Moe.

And we're dangerously close to page 2. So, BUMP, again.

Where is everyone? I know there are more people from KC than this.
