Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire

Hey all! :)

Can't believe no one has been discussing this yet? Fantasy themed comedy show in the UK for those uninitiated.

Personally I think its fantastic, sort of reminds me a bit of Red Dwarf...with Fantasy instead of Sci-fi.

yeah. i only caught two episodes - it's good "late night humor" I'm just never available to watch it when it's on (and someone else in the house hogs the dvr! :( )

So, anyone know if there are plans for full episodes to be on comedy central's website or on Hulu.com or something (I'm talking about official/legal, not other options). ?

I've really been enjoying it. It's the third best comedy show on BBC2 on Thursday nights in the UK.

The innkeeper in episode 3 was particularly good.

You can see old episodes on the BBC website, btw.

Comedy Central might have them avaialable too I'm not sure. Krod aired in the states first and was co-produced with the BBC and Comedy Central.

I wish there was more then 6 episodes though.

I haven't watched it at all, but the previews I saw looked pretty decent. Guess I will have to get around to checking it out.

Is this a common thing with British shows? Six episodes allows for quicker pacing storywise, but it also means that by the time you really get in to a show it is over. I just got hooked on Being Human, and it is the same deal; six episodes and done.

Right, but if it proves popular then it'll get a second series (season), a third, etc. Sometimes very successful shows after the first 6 get a longer run. Doctor Who is strong enough that it always gets 13-episode seasons now.

Personally I quite like the 6-episode series and wish they did it the same way in the US for many shows. If the creators of the many cancelled Fox sci-fi shows had known they needed to tell a story in the first 6 episodes then I wouldn't feel like I was left hanging so many times, I think.

It had some fun bits but fell back too much on gay innuendo. But there were some brilliant strokes occasionally.
