Kulan: Knightfall's Crisis in Bluffside Game [IC]

On the Street:
Two of the mercenaries team up against Zenpher and try to put the halfling Elite down. Each manages to slice into the halfling guard. He cries out in pain but steels himself. He will not run.

The mercenary who dropped his blade steps back, pulls a healing draught from his belt, and quickly drinks down the healing liquid.

While Tim trades blows with the dwarf, the thug tumbles by them and comes up next to Falen and the assassin. The roguish foe tries to stab
Falen, but the Unseen Seer manages to evade the thug's short sword. The other thug moves into the fray against Custodio and the other Elites and drives his blade into Zenpher's chest. The strike is a vicious cut and the halfling guard is now bleeding from several wounds. His breathing is quickly becoming ragged.

In the Candle Shop:
One of the thugs on the other side of the curtain pulls the curtain open. The other thug manages to stay on his feet under Akos' grease spell and moves into the room with his blade ready. He tries to tumble around Akos but the Loremaster blocks his movement.

Akos slashes our with his silvered dagger and cuts a deep wound in the thug's face. He grimaces and snarls at the Loremaster.

The roguish foe steps in in behind his fellow thug on the other side of the doorway. He has his blade ready as well.

"Just dogpile him!"

OOC:
Thug uses move action to open curtain.

Other thug moves (at half speed) into the room and tries to tumble through Akos (double move); he makes his Balance check. He fails by one. @Neurotic, Akos gets an AoO. Also, make a passive Spot check (no action).

The other thug moves into the area of the grease spell but makes his Balance check.

Back on the Street:
The Regulars guard wheels around with his halberd, steps towards the doppelganger, and tries to drive the weapon into false guard. However, the doppelganger easy avoids the weapon and counters by turning and driving his blade into Petronille's shoulder. Its second sword strike is less precise, however.

Round 3 Starts
The assassin strikes back at Falen with incredible speed. H drives his short sword at the Unseen Seer twice. Falen manages to dodge the first strike but the second one is a deep cut on his side. He immediately feels the poison enter his system. The assassin's blade is coated in some sort of vicious venom.

The dwarven assassin moves quickly towards the fight and prepares to fire her blowgun again. She stops just out of range of Tim's reach on the other side of the candle shop's back door.

At the front of the shop, One of the Loyalists opens the front door and steps through quickly to menace Tuck. The other Loyalist follows him in and manages to swing his sword at Vinny, but it is a clumsy strike.

Falen:
His mind assessing the risk in tactical movement, Falen elects to move Northeast 5 ft. It will allow a window for the assassin or the thug to engage Tymbeck, but not without Tymbeck being able to hit one of them. He still doesn’t like the odds; they remain outnumbered. He feels the need for the slightest bit of levity.
To the Dusk human assassin, as Falen moves, “Blah blah yadda yadda you talk too much, Dust boy.
At he moves he continues to face the Assassin, almost dancing his way to a spot with line of sight toward both assassins.
He whispers a spell and twitches the Dagger of Venom in his fingers, losing it toward the assassin. The dagger hisses out of his hands, continuing into a sound like a harpsichord string snapping. It streaks in a line until it reaches the dwarven Dusk assassin, instantly returning to Falen’s hand.
Stop talking and die,“ Falen says creepily, twisting his voice into that of an old woman.

OOC has rolls.

The dagger slices deeply into the first assassin as it whirls by the man. It cuts the dwarf assassin as well before the blade returns to Falen's hand but it isn't as vicious of a wound.

The human assassin crumples to the ground.

Outside the Shop:
The dwarf mercenary keeps his focus on Tim. He show no regard for the assassin who just fell. His smile becomes a manic gritting of teeth. He laughs and then roars at Tim. There is an unnatural fury in the dwarven man's eyes. His face budges and Tim watches as his muscles seem to expand unnaturally.

The dwarf lashes out with his axe. The strike would have hurt anyone else but the half-ogre knight. Still, Tim barely blocks the strike with his shield and the axe leaves a mark on Rizvan. The dwarf roars and swings again with unbridled fury, but it is a clumsy swing. Then the dwarf almost surprises Tim as he deftly switches the axe to his other hand and lashes out with his mailed fist towards Tim's knee.

Again, Tim gets the shield down just in time to block the blow.

The dwarf howls with laughter. "So! Much! Fun!"

On the other street, the halfling Elite guard steps back from the fight, so that he's not surrounded. His wounds are bad, but cannot leave this fight. He lashes out with his longsword and, this time, his blade finds its mark, once, twice, against the mercenary still close enough to hit.

Inside the Shop:
"You should have stayed outside,"
Tuck growls at the Loyalist.

He drops his crossbow, and steps away from the shelf behind him. He draws his blade and knows the Loyalist will be able to counter, but he manages to avoid the sword strike with a duck out of the way.

"My turn," he grins. He Stabs out with his magical shortblade and it slices into the Loyalist twice. The wounds aren't severe, but they give the man pause.

OOC: Dice rolls on the OOC thread.

Inside the Shop:
Vinccenzo smiles slyly as he casts shocking grasp from Lil' Vinny. The magical rapier flares to life with electricity and he stabs out with the blade. The Loyalist just manages to evade the strike. He looks at the blade as it continues to crackle with magical energy.

"Blasted Sectarian," he curses at Vinny.

Outside the Shop:
up on the wall, the two guards fighting against each other trade sword strikes. The fight is becoming bloody. The other allied Regular reloads his crossbow, takes aim at the mercenary standing next to Zenpher, and fires a great shot that finds its mark. The bolt digs deep into the man shoulder and he reels from the wound.

Captain Camburn steps into the position that the halfling Elite was standing in a moment before and strikes out swiftly at the thuggish rogue with his fine longsword. The blade sinks in deep once. The second strike is more of a glancing blow and the thug manages to avoid the last strike. His wounds are deep and grievous. He tries to yell out but can only gasp for air. His eyes are wide with fear.

"Surrender and I will show you mercy," the captain demands.

The rogue doesn't reply. His eyes dart around looking for an escape route.

Big Tim counters against the dwarf with all his strength. He needs to put this foe down fast. Lucikly, the dwarf's rage leaves the mercenary more vulnerable to Tim's attacks. He swings his sword with gusto and cuts another deep wound in the dwarf. The dwarf barely flinches and he easily avoids Tim's next swords strike, as the knight brings the blade down in a chopping motion. The blade only hits the cobblestone street. But, he swings Rizvan around and thumps the dwarf in the face with the shield.

The dwarf is bleeding all over the street but, he still has fight left in him.

On the other street, Custodio swings his magical warhammer at the female mercenary and catches her shield arm with a glancing blow. Electricity from the weapon of energy spell crackles up her arm. She grits her teeth and prepares to strike back against the Vanquisher cleric.

Down the street, Petronille manages to surprise the doppelganger and strike a powerful blow against the shapechanger. It hisses at her in anger.

Akos looks across his bloody dagger to the assassin.
"I know you heard I can frighten the living daylights out of you both. And you didn't silence me. I suggest it is better to go and flank the big knight going back where you came from."

OOC: using fey power to cast suggestion, Will DC 15 to resist

Akos carefully steps back from the thug threatening him before he makes his suggestion. The man in front of him loses his zeal and nods his head. He steps back through his ally and manages to get back to the trapdoor without slipping on the grease.

The other thug lets him go; he is more concerned with his own footing. He moves forward into the room and stabs out with his sword, but Akos' fey heritage negates the blade's damage.

"Butcher," the man yells loudly. "Get up here! I need your help with this fey!"

On the Street:
The mercenary hit by the crossbow bolt steps back from the fight and pulls the bolt out while grabbing a potion off his belt. He quickly downs the potion and several of his wounds stop leaking blood.

The other male merc in the hood draws a dagger, steps next to the thug, and tries to stab the captain in the face. The canny soldier easily blocks the attack. The female merc swings her sword at Custodio twice but the Vanquisher cleric blocks both attacks with his shield.

The rogue bleeding in front of Captain Camburn quicky withdraws from the fight. He rushes away and disappears into the warehouse.

"Get out there!" he yells to someone.

On the other street, the other thug steps towards Falen and stabs at the Unseen Seer and nicks the half-hobgoblin's arm.

The Regulars Guard with the halberd thrusts the weapon forward and the blade sinks into the doppelganger's side. The shapechanger attacks and hits Petronille with two cuts. Then, its neck seems to bend impossibly and it glares at the guard.

"Wait your turn, gnat," it hisses. "I will be with you shortly."
