Kuo-toa Love - or how do you like your fish?

I prefer Kuo-Toa; mainly again because of the more Lovecraftian/Dagon description.

I use them in my world as a civilization cursed to monstrosity; their mighty empire sank under the ocean due to their hubris, their dark god drowned with their continent (but not before he transmuted them into Kuotoa; as a curse and a blessing; perhaps one day they'll resurrect their god and continent)

That and I've been statting out some monks (monitors) with them, and man! Kick-ass.

The party will probably never see them outside their sunken kingdoms, though.

How could a DM not love them?! :)

I use them as fanatical, cult-organized, slavers and flesh merchants.

Best use was when my Eberron players tangled with them, and the
wizard proclaims "I'll take them down!" and fires a...wait for it...

A feckin' Lightning Bolt.

The party's reaction when the majority of them (go fig) took next
to no damage from the well-rolled spell was classic. :)

I jus trecently decided there are no locathath or tritons in Aquerra.

I do use sahaugin and merfolk, however. .. and Kuo-toa are reserved for the undergound seas, or the deep sunless places in the ocean.

I also use dolphins as sentient creatures that have human level intelligence, and are allies of the sea elves.
