"id suggest we let him rest for now. i think it may also be better if we gathered everyone together so we can keep track of the people on the farm. i dont think anyone should be out and about on their own at this point."
"I agree. Mostly." Quirking an eyebrow, Ximix looks at Manon. "It seems prudent to gather together those nearby, yet the direction of the attack is most certainly pertinant. It is just as likely that the offender struck from behind while using an illusion or similar effect to distract the victim, ehm, I mean Richard." Ximix gives a quick nod to Richard and turns to Razin, then focusses somewhere past his shoulder, his gaze far away again as he speaks almost to himself.
"We know that the vi . . . Richard was taking measurements to make a new path, correct?" The Elf blithely forges ahead after his question. "And we know that he heard something that attracted his attention off the path, something that then sounded like voices, a rustling nearby and then darkness... most probably magical in origin, and then he was struck with a blunt instrument to the base of the back of the head.
From this we can surmise that who or whatever attacked him was fairly stealthy... and from the position of the wound it is possible that the attacker was smaller than Richard... and of course capable of casting some form of spells. Turning quickly in place the priest fixes the young women and Rich with his stare, "Does that describe anyone you know?"
[sblock=DM]The line I was wondering about (and wanting to use the Knowledge skill on), was
"I was surrounded by darkness. It surrounded me in ribbons; crackling and wiggling."
I am quite sure this is not related to skeletons, I was simply hoping it would ring a bell with some other understanding of the undead and their abilities, using my original Knowledge roll of 17... or perhaps my ancestral knowledge of the Fey? Knowledge roll=4 darnit! Nevermind. *sulks*
I thought I was on to something there![/sblock]
