So, I don't believe we've discussed the general themes here from Dragon #399. There are 4 sets of generic themes (ex. Mercenary, Seer, Animal Master, & Ordained Priest are examples) for use in non-DS settings. Essentially you can an extra encounter power, which is moderately useful, a benefit at 5th level (which for most classes is a +2 to some skills, and then another benefit at 10th. There are 3 power swap powers available also for each theme.
We've temporarily put them on hold in L4W, what are [MENTION=36973]stonegod[/MENTION], [MENTION=82251]TwoHeadsBarking[/MENTION] and [MENTION=2011]KarinsDad[/MENTION] thoughts? I'm still unsure of them myself. On one hand I really like adding another encounter power, especially at the starting levels as it helps from only having at-wills for at least 1 more round. OTOH, it does introduce a bit of power creep and only those with DDI have access to them, so that's a bit of a strike IMO.
