Legends & Lairs question

What kind of stuff do you want to publish?

My homebrew setting, mostly - as a PDF, most likely. I've written about 60,000 words so far, but I realize that there is lots to so yet (like editing, playtesting, proofreading, getting artwork, layout...).

I already have a fair number of campaign setting books, which will help me get a good grasp for what aspects of my setting I need to write about, but I don't have that much experience with writing d20 rules.

That's the hardest part. :) Be sure to try Cityworks and Dungeoncraft, then (and just about everything else by Mike Mearls . . . he knows what he's doing when it comes to D20 rules).

I own pretty much the whole L&L sourcebook series. Out of all of them, I think the Monsters Handbook is probably the most useful to me. It just makes it so easy to make some interesting changes to a monster and get something completely new. It really breathed a lot of life into the core Monster Manual for me.

Ugh. After getting a notice about another US import, I've got the creeping suspicion that these books will fall under the punitive import tariffs the EU has currently levied against the USA. According to what I've read, they started in March with 5%, and increased by another 1% every month - which should mean they are currently at 14%!

Still a good deal, but a bit more expensive that I had anticipated...

I'm a fan of the "Path of ..." books. The epic-style prestige classes introduced are nice, and the mechanic for them is sound - it really provides classes that the players 'get into' - since you have to start aiming towards one a few levels before you take your first level of it, and have to complete some extreme tasks and feats to get in.

I don't have the Monster's Handbook, but a LOT of people say it is amazing, so I'll probably pick it up during this sale.

I like Traps & Treachery 1 because of all the thieve's guild stuff in it, but I'm no fan of traps in general, so the rest of the book is wasted on me (as is T&T2). Portals & Planes is a very solid planar adventuring book.
