Until you reach 2nd level, I will accomodate reasonable character rebuilds as long as it is not done in the middle of an encounter. If you have any doubt as to whether a situation is defined as an "encounter," then ask OOC and direct me back to this thread for an answer. In general, combat situations and those situations requiring skill checks are considered encounters. Right now where you are all sitting around a table talking to each other is not an encounter.

Reveille, you may swap over some skill ranks to Survival, but as a cross-class skill, it still wouldn't help very much. Since I'm allowing open content from Unearthed Arcana, I thought I might mention that the Wilderness Rogue is worth considering. But even with max ranks you wouldn't be any better at Survival than the cleric for the time being. You would need to put more skill points into it next time you level up.

Alternatively, you can explore town to see if there are any side quests that might net you the money you need to support a journey to Duomir. A Gather Information check might give you a useful lead.

Many thanks. I allocated 4 skill points from other skill to get my max of 2 ranks in Survival and swapped Iron Will for Skill Focus (Survival), topping out with a total Survival skill check of +5.

I'll definetely be taking Self-Sufficient as my 3rd level (further +2 bonus) feat and will continue to max out Survival.

Sorry I haven't made any significant posts over the last week. I love EN World but I don't have a lot of patience these days for really problematic servers so if the site isn't working when I try to log on, I usually don't come back for a day. That's one of the reasons I said this would be a relaxed campaign. I appreciate your patience. Anyway, this is not an EN World rant thread.

So Melara is now your Survival expert. Got that covered.

I would like to make a note about rolling on invisible castle. You don't have to use a specific format; whatever you are comfortable with is fine. However, I do ask for a few details. Make sure you include 1) which character made the roll, 2) which modifiers are included in the roll (all modifiers should be included), 3) something in the notes entry that indicates what the roll is for, and 4) a hyperlink with the total result displayed.

If you need help using tags, seek assistance at the help or meta forums or use the following brief explanation. Either highlight the text and select the hyperlink button (it looks like a world with a chain link) then enter the requested information, or open the tag with "url=your url" within brackets, type your text then close the tag with "/url" within brackets.
