In the Ex-Temple of Bahamut

The Minotaur (Tarrk), the Warforged (Basher7), and the Eladrin (Elerosse) march to their left, the north, marvelling at the ornate decor of the Temple of Bahamut. After a short distance, they near a ten-foot wide doorway in the western wall. From his vantage, Tarrk really can't see into the opening very well, but Basher7 sees a sliver of a room up ahead to the west. From what he can see, it appears to be another prayer room -- he sees a rack of prayer books and several large cushions of the sort upon which supplicants make obeisance.

In the Ex-Temple of Bahamut

Stepping around the corner and into the prayer-room, the heroes are confronted by a large number of animated skeletons. Most of the undead appear to be merely animated skeletal remains, each has a sheathed sword and a bow, which most of them are unlimbering and preparing to fire as soon as you enter. Two of the undead before you, however, are wreathed in an aura of fire that extends some 5 feet beyond their "bodies." [These are marked as "B1" and "B2" for Blazing. (Not to be confused with B7, by the way.....)] These two monsters are making throwing motions.

Elerosse

"More undead. Fun." says Elerosse.

Elerosse summons an orb of force and throw it into the center of the skeletons.
OOC: laptop battery died just as the whole post was being entered! Ahhhhhhh!

Attack be123 I think it is. If the center hits, then secondary to attack all but front skeleton show with an S
Wow! From natural 20 to a natural 1!

Could you post the monsters defenses (many DMs do, some not...)? It helps with posting fluff for the attacks, as you can describe your hits or misses.

I presume that Tarrk was charging to attack the Blazing Skeleton? If so, he missed by one. He could have taken out a minion during his charge, but I thought you'd probably prefer to save the attack for the more serious bad dude. ;)

The Wait is Over

OOC: Sorry, Scotley, we can't hold things up for you any longer. Basher7 loses his action for Round one.

The Skeletons swarm around the Heroes as they draw their blades again and attack. Tarrk is attacked by four skeletons and one Blazing Skeleton, Basher7 is attacked by three skeletons and the other Blazing Skeleton, and Elerosse is attacked by the last remaining skeleton. The blazing skeleton in the southern part of the room hurls an orb of flame at Basher7, but misses. The other blazing skeleton strikes Tarrk with a fiery claw for 7 hp damage, plus he takes ONGOING 5 hp damage from the skeleton's aura of flame every round that he remains adjacent to the Blazing skeleton. [That's 12 hp damage to Tarrk, so far.] Elerosse is hit by the minion skeleton attacking him for 4 hp damage. [No roll, just a flat damage for minions.] Three of the minion skeletons strike Basher7 with their swords for 4 hp damage each, for a total of 12 hp damage. And one minion skeleton also strikes Tarrk for another 4 hp damage.

Damage total to party:
Tarrk: 16 [including 5 ongoing damage due to the aura of flame where Tarrk is standng]
Basher7: 12
Elerosse: 4
