Winterhaven

OOC: Range to the "giant" is 120 feet. He is walking through an open field with few trees. He is approximately 80 feet from the treeline.

IC: The "giant" is moving away from the gate slowly, leading the ponies as he keeps a watchful eye over his shoulder. The heroes lose direct sight of him as they move down towards the gate. As they do so, the guardsmen obligingly unbar a door beside the gate for the heroes to exit so they don't have to open the full gate until it's safe(r).

Khellek unleashes a howl of excitement as he rushes forward with the minotaur, although his heavy armor slows him somewhat.

Let's go have some fun ;).

He's just outside Magic Missile range sadly :( That would get his attention.

Elerosse

As he moves forward with the others, Elerosse laments, "He's out of the range of my spells. We need to close."

Winterhaven

Hearing Khelek the Shifter's howl, the 'giant' turns and sees the approaching heroes. Sunlight glints on his teeth as he grins broadly and smacks his tree trunk into his left palm.

"HELLZAPOPPIN'!"

The 'giant' turns his head and calls toward the trees,
"Ho Fang! Come get 'em boy!"

There is movement in the treeline, and a large wolf quickly appears moving at a full lope to reach the 'giant's' side by the time the heroes are halfway to him, assuming they (you) are still moving forward? :)

[sblock=Ghraere]Ghraere, seeing the beast, knows that it i's a Dire Wolf.

Fang the Dire Wolf will hang back to stay near Urval the 'Giant,' but he will rush out to meet Tarrk two squares before Tarrk reaches the foes. The wolf's initiative is below.

So unless you can beat a 24, the wolf will attack Tarrk first to get this cotillion started: the wolf comes close to Tarrk and activates his prepared action and Tarrk skewers the wolf in the meat of his left hip, eliciting a howl (-22 hp, OUCH!). The wolf is definitely in pain, but keeps coming. It lunges at Tarrk's throat, teeth bared, but it misses.

Opponent status
Urval the 'Giant' = 136-10 (Elerosse's magic missile)
Fang the Dire Wolf = 67-22 (Tarrk's skewer)
