Leif's Homebrew 4E, IC02 [closed]

Alarm!

The party is lazing around Wrafton's Inn, when there is the sound of a large drum being struck repeatedly and a horn being blown. Two men, wearing the livery of the Guards of Winterhaven quickly gulp down another slug of ale apiece and rush out the door. Some of the older women move to tables further from the door.

Elerosse

Elerosse looks around the room at the commotion. "Wonder what's up? Nothing exciting has happened around here since we finished off....". His voice tails off as he begins to ponder. He stands up and moves to the door to look around.
 

Khellek stands up slowly, he has been quiet, clearly devastated by the loss of his good friend Aim and joins the wizard at the window. The shifter's newfound weapon and silver bracelet adorn his person.
 

Basher7 gets up from the table where he had been bored watching the woefully inefficient way the others fuel themselves. He maneuvers carefully to the doorway to look out shifting his shield into position as he goes.
 

Winterhaven, Alarm! -- Wrafton's Inn

A guardsman hurries past just as Elerosse reaches the door. He is still struggling to get his tabard put on correctly, it is all askew and also twisted, and his boots are on the wrong feet. As he hobbles closer, he says, "The Giant! It can only be the Giant again."
 


"Ah...giants...first cultists, now giants? This is my kind of town." Khellek says jovially, drawing his flail and heading outside with his arcane ally.

As the heroes gather at the door to Wrafton's Inn, the trickle of passersby moving away from the city gate become a steady stream, if not a torrent. (There aren't THAT many people in Winterhaven.) No one is now moving toward the gate. (Except Tarrk the crazy Minotaur!) Moving outside, you hear a loud roar coming from the vicinity of the gate, "ARRRRR! *wheeze* *cough* *cough* Where's my tribute!"

From somewhere, Tarrk come running toward the city gate. Seeing his companions he calls: "Seems to be really a giant! At last something worthwhile to slay!"
