OOC: Helfdan, give me a Survival check for Eldran H. to see if he can pick up any trail on the rocky gound, DC 32

Eldran Hawkshand begins scouring the hillside, seemingly wiily-nilly, but soon a pattern becomes evident as he covers more ground.

Seeing the others making reasonable attempts to solve the mystery of this hill, Yurei contents himself with flying in lazy circles about the area watching for danger. He chats in a chittering language with his bird which flies in accompaniment.

Tracking

Eldran Hawkshand does spot a trail that leads down the hillside. It is the roughly shod track of a creature estimated to be anywhere from 5 to 7 feet tall.

The mail-clad ranger loosens his sword in its scabbard as he follows the tracks. He pauses to signal Yurei to follow him.

OOC: From your post, Helfdan, I can't tell whether you're following the tracks forward to their destination, or back their origin. They are coming from higher on the hill and leading down, along the river somewhere.
