Lets go over what the Manyshot feat actually grants...

OK so as a standard action the bow wielder can take 2 shots as a standard action. And every +6 BAB they get another attack.

Now lets say I have a BAB of +6/+1. The above paragraph only covers the +6 not the second attack. Correct? So this character could as a full action do a +4/+4/+1.

I think this is so because with the attacks gained through manyshot only 1 can have a sneak attack on it. While ordinarily every shot can use sneak attack.

This feat wouldn't make any sense because point blank shot and rapid shot by themselves would actually be better.

Any thoughts?

Standard Action.

Normally you need a Full-Round Action to fire multiple shots.

Also, it doesn't give any extra penalties for the extra attacks so:
+6 BAB: +4/+4
+11 BAB: +9/+9/+9
+16 BAB: +14/+14/+14/+14

That seems to be far too good at high levels, but really sucky at low levels. Especially nasty with Haste.

Actually, it is cumulative -2 ranged attack penalty, and furthermore 'for every +6 BAB' means exactly for every 6 whole numbers, so it looks like this instead:

BAB +6 : +4/+4
BAB +12 : +8/+8/+8
BAB +18 : +12/+12/+12/+12

Now it looks much more balanced, right ?

Fairly nice ability, since that same archer will probably have shoot on the run. Which means that he will be able to step around the corner, fire 4 arrows at max BAB, then step back behind the corner.

Except that, as Geoff mentioned, with Haste you'll be able to attack at +12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12, since since it is a standard action the free partial action from Haste allows a whole new round of attacks.

Hmmm....8 attacks per round....lot of feats to get it....kinda looks like two-weapon fighting, doesn't it? ;) It's a pretty neat lookin' feat. I'm anxious to see this in action.

This is Andy Collins' house rule, not the feat as written.

"For every +6 BAB" isn't what it says. +11 gives 3 attacks with Manyshot.

I am not quite sure is not what you could call preemptive errata.

Ok, so it is, by the rules:

BAB +6 : +4/+4
BAB +11 : +7/+7/+7
BAB +16 : +10/+10/+10/+10

I still think, I would house rule to what I wrote above.
